Our new Apprenticeship Program consists of ten 2-week intensive academic sessions at our facility in Bridgton Maine alternated with longer periods of clinical work with a midwife of the student’s choosing in her home community. This allows students to remain in their home regions for the majority of their training. The first Apprenticeship program will begin in July of 2008 and will take approximately 3 years to complete. Completion of either of these programs prepares students to sit for the NARM national exam to become Certified Professional Midwives (CPM’s).
